LED screen – what, why and when?
LED screen, or light emitting diode screen, is a screen that uses light emitting diodes as the video display. In case of a LED screen there are thousands of single diodes installed on a flat panel, which form pixels. The more densly the diodes are placed, the better is the resolution of the screen and thus also the more detailed is the image on this screen. Pixel density also affects the viewability distance – the higher pixel density is, the closer you can look at the screen and see a detailed image. LED screens lack the restriction on how many modules can be combined in a screen and therefore we have the opportunity of building larger than life screens.
