The audience will be given an insight into the work of sports photographer Lembit Peegel, who conveys part of the story of Estonian sports culture from 1970 to 1990 in eloquent and powerful photographs, interspersed with fragments of later sporting moments. Lembit Peegel, then largely a volunteer, traveled with his camera to sporting competitions during those years, accompanied by passion, dedication and determination. Thanks to his extraordinary ability to capture the beauty, charm and pain of sports on film, genuine and vivid moments of sports were captured on film, which have shaped Estonian society and cultural history as a part of it.
And now we can see and relive all these sporting moments at Fotografiskas Lembitu's exhibition "Peegel/Pildis".
The exhibition opened with a press conference-style opening party, where LEDZEP was involved and we installed a new P2.6 LED screen measuring 5m x 3m.
